What's inside

  1. Level 1: Which Tool for Which JobFree
Learners see that this course is independent of Google and reproduces none of its documentation. They then match each job (tasks, notes, research, team tracking, automation) to Google Tasks, Keep, NotebookLM, Sheets, Chat or Workspace Studio, and see where Gemini fits in each one.
  2. Level 2: What You Have: Plans, Admin Controls and GeminiFree
Learners check whether they are on a consumer, Business or Enterprise plan, list which features (including Gemini, NotebookLM tiers and Workspace Studio) that plan includes, date the check, and flag preview features and features IT may have switched off.
  3. Level 3: Google Tasks Fundamentals
Learners create, organise and complete personal tasks in Google Tasks using lists, due dates, repeats, subtasks and starring, noting where the web side panel, desktop and mobile app differ.
  4. Level 4: Capturing Tasks from Gmail, Chat and Calendar
Learners turn emails, Chat messages and Calendar time into tasks, handle tasks assigned to them in Chat spaces and Docs, and check Gemini's suggested tasks or summaries before acting on them.
  5. Level 5: Team Tracking with Sheets Tables and Chat Spaces
Learners track shared team work in a Sheets table and a Chat space, compare this with any current Google project tool, and decide when team tracking should replace personal Tasks.
  6. Level 6: Capturing and Organising Notes in Keep
Learners capture text, checklist, voice and image notes in Keep, then organise them with labels, colours, pinning and archiving, noting where web, desktop side panel and mobile differ.
  7. Level 7: Keep Reminders, Sharing, Docs and Gemini
Learners add time and location reminders to Keep notes, share notes, send notes to Google Docs, and use Gemini to draft or summarise from notes only after confirming the plan and checking the output.
  8. Level 8: NotebookLM: Adding and Managing Sources
Learners create a NotebookLM notebook and add documents, Drive files, web links, videos and pasted text as sources, within the source limits of their plan.
  9. Level 9: Grounded Answers and Checking Citations
Learners ask NotebookLM questions, open the citation behind each claim, and spot answers that go beyond or misread the sources.
  10. Level 10: Audio Overviews and Other Generated Outputs
Learners create and customise audio overviews and other NotebookLM outputs such as briefing documents, and check them against the sources and against the plan limits and preview status listed on Google's current pages.
  11. Level 11: Project Notebooks, Sharing, Plans and AppSheet
Learners set up one notebook per project, share it with the right access level, compare what the free, paid and Workspace or Enterprise NotebookLM plans include, and see in outline where AppSheet fits.
  12. Level 12: First Workspace Studio Flow: Email to Task
Learners confirm that their plan includes Google Workspace Studio (formerly Workspace Flows), which went generally available on Business, Enterprise and some Education plans in December 2025, and build a first flow that turns matching emails into tasks.
  13. Level 13: Approvals, Limits and Failure Points
Learners add an approval or decision step to a Workspace Studio flow, find its usage limits and what it cannot do, and add checks for when it fails.
  14. Level 14: Apps Script in Outline and When to Ask IT
Learners see in outline what Apps Script can do beyond no-code flows, and apply clear rules for when to stop and involve IT, for example around data access, external connections, permissions and shared ownership.
  15. Level 15: Build Your Personal System and Weekly Review
Learners combine their chosen tools into one personal system with set capture points and handoffs, and run a weekly review that includes a check of Gemini's output.
  16. Level 16: Final Challenge: A Working Small-Project System Exam
Learners use the whole course to build and show a working system for a real small project: tasks, notes, a NotebookLM notebook, one automation and a weekly review, each checked against their plan and dated.
